Impact Wrestling will indeed move forward with more Television tapings this weekend.
The company was forced to cancel their Impact Plus exclusive event, Against All Odds, on April 17th, Rebellion on April 19th, and the television tapings in Columbus, Ohio on April 24 & 25; however, according to PWInsider, the promotion will commence with tapings this weekend.
The plan is to produce 6-8 weeks of TV in Nashville, Tennessee at Skyline Studios. As expected, the tapings will feature an empty arena setting. As previously reported, the plan is to feature the Rebellion pay-per-view in some type of way and according to the report, the planned matches for the scrapped show will be featured during the upcoming set of tapings.
At the moment, the pay-per-view only had two matches advertised, which were a three-way bout between Tessa Blanchard, Michael Elgin, and Eddie Edwards for the Impact World Championship, and Ken Shamrock vs. Sami Callihan. However, a Knockouts and X-Division Championship match is expected to be confirmed within the next two weeks.
The tapings should lead to their Slammiversary pay-per-view in June/July; however, the company has yet to confirm the date and location, and with the coronavirus situation on-going, chances are we won’t find out any news about the show until early summer.
