In the first title change of the evening, Chris Bey is the new X-Division Champion!

Coming in, the 22-year-old had some solid momentum on his side as Bey pinned Mack in a six-man tag team match several weeks back. However, Mack also retained the X-Division belt against Bey and Austin in a triple threat match last month so the 33-year-old did have Bey’s number when it comes to championship bouts.

The match started out as a stalemate between the Impact stars, but Mack managed to get the upper hand thanks to a sweet moonsault combination. However, the momentum would swift in Bey’s favor after he crotched Mack on the second buckle and hit him with a sling blade that got him a nice two count.

The challenger then focused on the neck on Mack, but the St. Louis native made a fiery comeback thanks to several devastating clotheslines. Mack came close to winning after his signature stunner maneuver. The former X-Division champion went for his frog splash finisher, but Bey avoided the move. Bey got pushed into the referee and took advantage of the moment by raking Mack's eyes; He then hit the final finesse and got the three count. Surprisingly, Johnny Swinger was never a factor during the match-up.
