Perhaps Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion will happen after all.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Impact officials plan to move forward with the pay-per-view in some of capacity, though the exact details are currently unknown. The report does state that officials are considering re-tooling the event for a special on AXS television.

Before Impact Plus arrived, the promotion used to run monthly specials of former pay-per-views such as Against All Odds or Sacrifice. Originally, Rebellion was set to take place in New York City at Terminal 5 before the company was forced to cancel the event due to the coronavirus epidemic.

The pay-per-view only had two matches advertised, which were a three-way bout between Tessa Blanchard, Michael Elgin, and Eddie Edwards for the Impact World Championship, and Ken Shamrock vs. Sami Callihan.

Speculation is that the company has plans to tape fresh material in an empty arena setting, though nothing has been confirmed. Thus far, Impact’s latest tapings are set in Atlanta, Georgia and are expected to continue up until the week of April 19th, which was when Rebellion was set to air.
