Impact Wrestling has revealed the 2020 Hall of Fame inductee.
That honor goes to the first-ever NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ken Shamrock. The news was announced during the company's latest television tapings from Sam’s Town in Las Vegas on Feb. 9.
While Shamrock doesn’t have a notable TNA/Impact Wrestling career like Abyss, Jeff Jarrett, or Sting, the 56-year-old has made an unforgettable mark within the professional wrestling landscape. Shamrock is also recognized for his time in WWE, in which he held both the Intercontinental and WWE Tag Team titles during his stint with the company. He’s also a 1998 King of the Ring winner.
Shamrock would later transition to MMA before making his return to professional wrestling in late 2018. He made his surprise return to Impact Wrestling last year where his first match was against Moose at Bound For Glory. The former NWA World Heavyweight Champion continues to make sporadic appearances for the company and another big feud seems to be on the horizon for Shamrock.
The Hall of fame ceremony will take place over the Bound For Glory weekend. Congratulations to Ken Shamrock!
