The Impact World Championship match between Tessa Blanchard, Michael Elgin, and Eddie Edwards could be in jeopardy.
Earlier this week, Mike Johnson of PWInsider revealed that Impact planned on taping at least 6-8 weeks of television in Nashville, Tennessee at Skyline Studios. The plan is to feature the Rebellion pay-per-view in some type of way and the matches for the scrapped show on April 19th will be featured during the upcoming set of tapings.
One of the confirmed bouts was the Triple Threat match for the Impact World Championship; however, according to Wrestletalk, Blanchard – who is the reigning world champion – doesn't plan on leaving the state of California due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Of course, plans can always change and the third generation star could end up working the scheduled shows. However, Blanchard isn’t the only wrestler that has issue working during the coronavirus epidemic as Sami Callihan made it well known on social media a few weeks earlier that he wasn’t working until this situation was done:
“Fu– characters, fu– storylines…. our safety is the most important thing. Until this gets better I’m not going to ANY wrestling shows. I beg the world to be as safe as possible in this extremely scary time. Let’s join together like never before. We can get through this. My family… my animals… myself is more important than fake fighting in our underwear. I’m sorry. I’m not going to show until this in contained. I hope everyone does the same. The world. Our loves. Is not worth it.”
The tweet has been deleted; however, Callihan’s status also remains unclear. The former Impact World Champion is set to fight Ken Shamrock at Rebellion.
