Willie Mack is still the X-Division Champion! However, a surprising new duo could threaten Mack’s position at the top.

Once again, Mack put his title on the line against Johnny Swinger. The 44-year-old was able to get the brief advantage over the X-Division Champion; however, it didn’t take long for Mack to comeback and get the win. Swinger was about to nail Mack with the belt, but the 33-year-old countered with a Samoan Drop and then a moonsault for the win.

Given Swinger’s track record within Impact, the outcome wasn’t much of a surprise; however, the new alliance between Bey and the former the WCW star was. Following the match-up, both men attacked the X-Division champ and left him lying on the ground.

Last week, Bey was the man that stirred the pot between the former tag team partners as the Impact newcomer claimed that Mack was dissing Swinger behind his back. It’s possible that Swinger will eventually learn the truth and turn his back on Bey by helping Mack retain his title; however, for now, the two men have made it their mission to knock Mack off the top of the mountain.
