The “Bad Boy” of AEW finally got his chance to get revenge against “The Chairman” at Full Gear.
As expected, the match started as a fight between the two competitors, but it wouldn’t take long for Spears to get control of the contest. In an innovative heel move, Spears tied the turnbuckle ropes around Janela’s hair and took advantage of the moment by beating him down for several minutes; however, Janela would set himself free and give the former WWE Superstar a beating that he would never forget.
In the end, Tully Blanchard played a crucial role, as the “Bad Boy” had the manager scouted at all times; however, Blanchard would still be one of the reasons for Spears’ victory. The former WWE superstar would cause a distraction that allowed him and Blanchard to pull off a spike piledriver outside the ring.
Spears then put Janela back into the ring and connected with a Death Valley Driver for the three count.
