Johnny Gargano Reportedly Suffered An Injury During His Match At NXT TAKEOVER: IN YOUR HOUSE

We're not sure how serious it is, but Johnny Gargano is said to have suffered an injury during his North American Championship match against Keith Lee at this past Sunday's NXT TakeOver: In Your House.

Johnny Gargano faced Keith Lee for the North American Championship this past Sunday at NXT TakeOver: In Your House in a hard-hitting encounter, and it's now being reported that the "heart and soul" of the black and gold brand may have sustained an injury.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Gargano hurt his hip and lower back during the match. We have no idea how serious it is (Johnny was able to finish the bout and walk out on his own, at any rate) or at what point in the match the injury occurred, but there's a decent chance it was when Lee pounced him through the Plexiglas screen (see below).

Gargano recently turned heel along with Candice LeRae, and his feud with Lee is expected to culminate in a tag-tam match involving Mia Yim. Whether that still happens obviously remains to be seen, as Johnny may have to take some time away from the ring to heal up.

We should know more soon, so keep an eye out for updates.
